Welcome to Chetwynd Spencer Academy
Chetwynd is a very special place to be – for both children and adults – to learn and laugh together. We are extremely proud of the fact that Ofsted graded us as Outstanding in all areas, only a month after the new Ofsted framework came into effect. This means that, by sending your child to our school, you will know that they are receiving the very best education in a loving and stimulating environment.
As soon as you step through our doors, you will feel our STARFISH values and see how they permeate through everything we do at Chetwynd, including delivering on our vision: ‘For all our children to be kind, courageous and curious citizens, helping them to shine for a bright and happy future in our diverse world.’

What a celebration of musical talent we’ve had today! Eight of our Year 6s performed in a music assembly for their parents-what courage and skill they showed. Later, Ayanna and Reuben wowed with their singing and guitar performances at the Notts cluster talent show! 🌟 @satrust_ pic.twitter.com/O4FppmSfEI
